The starting point is an encounter between two forms from opposite sides of the world that share the same truth. Maize, sacred plant of the Americas, sustained entire civilizations. Present in the worldviews of the Muisca, Quimbaya, and Tairona as a divine gift, and in the Mayan Popol Vuh, where humankind itself is born from yellow and white maize. A plant that holds the full cycle of life: planted, grown, harvested, and planted again.
Paisley was born in ancient Persia as the boteh, a sprout, a stylized cypress tree, symbol of life and fertility in Zoroastrianism. It traveled with the Mughal Empire to India, where it was woven into the Kashmir shawls and became associated with the mango, fruit of prosperity and good fortune. Centuries of migration, one unbroken meaning.
Two forms, two continents, one principle: the seed in expansion. Together they speak of growth that doesn’t rush, only unfolds.

The stones gather the palette of the more than 220 varieties of maize that exist in Latin America: yellows and oranges in the citrines and carnelians, deep reds in the garnets, midnight blues in the lapis lazuli, greens in the quartz and agates, whites in the pearls. Some in their raw, organic form, others faceted, with a brilliance that elevates the shapes without straying from their origin. Two versions of the same seed.
Each piece in Siembra is an amulet. A physical reminder, worn on the body, that the seeds we sow, in the earth or in life, always carry within them the power to become.
